MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla -- Seven members of the 927th Air Refueling Wing here have earned a new stripe under the Air Force's Stripes for Exceptional Performers II program in an announcement made Aug 31.
STEP II is a commander’s program that promotes well deserving members one grade above their current grade authorized for their position from E-6 through E-9.
"The enlisted men and women of the 927 ARW have made great efforts in professional enlisted development over the last three years,” said Chief Master Sgt. Michael A. Klausutis, the 927 ARW command chief. “These STEP II promotions highlight the value and impact of those efforts. I could not be prouder of the dedication and level of effort of our enlisted force.”
Klausutis said, “The new stripes that were awarded are one small visible representation of the excellence throughout the Airmen of the 927 ARW."
The STEP II board was held at the Headquarters Air Reserve Personnel Center, Buckley AFB, CO from July 24-28.
The promotions were awarded to the following members:
