Spark Tank 2020 voting continues this week

Reserve Citizen Airmen are encouraged to vote this week for their favorite of the top six Spark Tank 2020 innovation teams.

Out of more than 220 Spark Tank submissions this year, the top six teams have been selected to pitch their ideas live to the secretary of the Air Force, chief of staff of the Air Force, chief master sergeant of the Air Force and two celebrity judges Friday, February 28, at the Air Force Association’s 2020 Air Warfare Symposium in Orlando.

Fan voting plays a role in the selection of the overall winner and people can vote up to one minute after the last live pitch is presented (at roughly 10:06 a.m. eastern time on Friday).

Visit https://www.polltab.com/kTWASVJXV on your smart phone and review the six competing innovation team’s recorded pitches and make your vote. The poll works best in Chrome. Each video is three minutes or less in length so it’s quick and easy to vote.

Among the six finalists this year is a team of innovators from the Air Force Reserve’s 446th Airlift Wing, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.

Master Sgts. Robert Tingle and Roy Puchalski, both assigned to the 446th Maintenance Squadron, developed an innovative solution to eradicate a problem that has caused injuries to Airmen and damage to C-17 battery cells for more than 20 years. Their battery extraction tool has the potential to save the Air Force more than $500,000 per year.
