MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Family support is key to what we do, and because of that it is a focus area of our 2010 Strategic Plan. The goal is to ensure we have the right programs and services available to meet your needs and the needs of your family.

Leadership at all levels of the Air Force realizes the significant role our families have in mission success. The 927th leadership is committed to involving families, whether it's through the use of programs and services at the Airmen & Family Readiness Center (A&FRC), like financial management classes, or the key spouse program. We have reached out to families by extending an invitation to the Children's Holiday Party, Wing Family Day and Yellow Ribbon reintegration, and we will share our Fit to Fight page on the SharePoint site for family health and wellness education. A team focusing on the priorities of the strategic plan will explore other opportunities to involve families.

The 927th Airmen & Family Readiness programs are totally integrated with the 6th Air Mobility Wing. This means our airmen and their families are eligible to participate in programs offered. The A&FRC is a one stop center with information to help you and your family with assistance and referrals in the military and the community. The purpose is to provide you with tools and resources needed to reach your full potential. When this happens, family readiness is mission readiness. By taking care of our family affairs like having finances in order, child care plans (AF Form 357), and current legal documents, our minds are free of worry so we can concentrate on the mission.

Our wing recognizes the value, sacrifice, and contribution of our families. We seek to provide programs that positively affect family life. We want to actively engage you and your family to understand and address your needs by providing awareness to programs and services that are available.

Airmen & Family Readiness personnel, Master Sgt. Kim Sisco and Tech. Sgt. Shannon Last are available to assist you. For more information about programs and services, contact them at (813) 828-1854.
