Several Med Techs comfort and check up on "Athos," a Military Working Dog with the Czech Republic Army, during a MEDEVAC flight aboard a C-17 Globemaster II from Bagram Airfield to Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The crew believed the flight may have been the first time a Military Working Dog was allowed to remain conscious during flight. The Air Force's Strategic Transitory Care process ensures wounded warriors are kept safe and receive consistent care throughout the journey from Afghanistan through Germany to the United States.
