Knowledge Operations Master Sgt. Calls it a Career

MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE, FL --   2/6/2016 - MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Master Sergeant Roxanne Helenka, 927th Force Support Squadron chief of knowledge management said her final goodbyes during her retirement ceremony Feb. 6, 2016 at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.

Helenka served faithfully for 26 years in the knowledge operations career field with assignments at McConnell AFB, Kansas and MacDill AFB.

"Her personality made you smile," said Master Sgt. Marina Espinoza, 931 Air Refueling Group Civil Engineering Squadron first sergeant. "We have been friends for a long time and I am really going to miss working with her."

With no official plans for her next move, Helenka will remain in the area looking for another opportunity to inspire.

"I am sad to leave," said Helenka. "I also know that a new chapter awaits me somewhere else. I want to thank my family and friends for being by my side through it all."
