Operational Readiness Exercise
MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. -- Senior Airman Kyle Steady, a crew chief with the 927th Air Refueling Wing, braves the afternoon sun here to make sure there were no leaks around the engine of a KC-135 tanker aircraft. Steady participated in a recent operational readiness exercise that required the unit to deploy airplane tankers to refuel tactical aircraft on short notice.
