Col Anthony Colberg is the 927th Maintenance Group Commander. He is responsible for the organization, training, equipping, and worldwide readiness of a group of approximately 250 Citizen Airmen and Civilians. As part of the 927th Air Refueling Wing, the 927 MXG, through aircraft maintenance operations, supports contingencies and humanitarian operations around the world with in-flight air refueling, cargo airlift and passenger movement in the KC-135 Stratotanker.
Col Colberg enlisted in the Air Force in 1987. He served sixteen years as an enlisted Aircraft Structural Repair Technician. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant upon graduation from the Academy of Military Science in 2004. He received his Master’s Degree in Leadership (Business Management) in 2011. He has served in various units across the world, equipped with various weapons systems, including C-5, C-17, C-130, H-60, KC-135, C-141, F-16, T43, and T-37 aircrafts.
