MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – In advance of Tampa Bay AirFest 2018, please be advised that there will be increased aircraft activity in and around the Tampa Bay area. Residents can expect to see elevated numbers of military aircraft in the vicinity May 9– May 13.
Peak times for air traffic will be Thursday noon to 4 p.m. as we welcome the U.S. Navy Blue Angels to Tampa Bay, as well as Friday through Sunday for practices and the show.
In addition, MacDill Air Force Base will be conducting an exercise Tuesday, May 8, 2018 to ensure safety is a top priority for the many Airmen working AirFest 2018.
