MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE, FL -- MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. (July 07, 2018) — Members from across the wing gathered for a lunch and learn during the unit training assembly, July 7 at the 927th Air Refueling Wing Headquarters here.
Lauren G. Weiner, the Chief Executive Officer and founder of WWC, LLC was the guest speaker for this lunch and learn. Weiner presented to airmen the importance of networking and setting a positive and influential social media following.
Though the lunch and learn was to learn about creating a social media presence and influencing their target audience, this event gave airmen an opportunity for networking and learning in a more personal setting.
Weiner said that there are so many opportunities for military members in the civilian world that hardly get taken advantage of because either employers are not marketing directly to military members or military members are not guided in the proper direction for what they hope to accomplish.
WWC, LLC’s logo is “Putting Good Government Into Practice.” It is the company’s goal to make those connections between employers and service members and their families.
Many airmen were able to make connections, speak with Weiner one on one about their future goals and to get advice or contact information that may potentially help them further their military and civilian careers.
The 927th Air Refueling Wing provides endless opportunities and outlets for service members, this lunch and learn was just another opportunity to showcase the various support and resources the wing has to offer.
