MACDILL AFB, Fla. -- Last week five Airmen from the 45th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. were announced by Air Force Reserve Command as best in their career field.
AFRC announced 20 Aeromedical Evacuation Airmen as the AE annual award winners May 14.
Annual awards recognize Airmen who distinguish themselves through exceptional effort and accomplishments throughout the year. Of the 20 awardees, the 45th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron represented 25% of them.
“It’s humbling to be selected as the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the year,” said Master Sgt. Timothy Bley, 45 AES communications section chief. “I am very proud of the other selectees from MacDill, we have a great team and love what we do.”
The 45 AES commander will formally present each Airman during a ceremony at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. during a unit training assembly.
“The Aeromedical Evacuation mission requires a great commitment,” said Lt. Col. Karen Reiff. “Whether it be AE crewmembers, communications or ground support, the 45 AES stands ready to take on any challenge and is extremely proud of all our AE Annual Award winners.”
