HRDC Conference Held at MacDill Published Nov. 13, 2009 By Capt. Shane Huff 927th Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs Office MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The 927th Air Refueling Wing played host recently to a Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) Conference. Approximately 80 participants representing 13 separate Air Force Reserve wings came to present their programs and discuss future HRDC endeavors. Major General Mitchell was the keynote speaker and discussed the importance of diversity. The mission of HRDC is to ensure fair and equitable treatment for all wing members, create an environment that optimizes the contributions of our diverse workforce, and to advise the commander on all matters pertaining to human resources. HRDC also has a focus on outreach programs in local communities. A few examples given were participation in "Toys for Tots", sponsorship of local Scout Troops, providing aircraft tours to the Boys & Girls Club, and food donations.
