In efforts to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and to prioritize the health, safety and support of the 927th Air Refueling Wing personnel, many resources have been provided and modified to meet the needs of the wing.

COVID-19 has impacted every aspect of life from normalcy at work to casual errands at the grocery store. These changes due to the virus happened fast with no warning or end date leaving many feeling uneasy.

“Our main priority is to make sure everyone has resources to fall back on whether it’s financial, employment or food,” said Technical Sergeant Lydia Grill, Readiness noncommissioned officer in charge. “We are here for them so they know they aren’t alone.”

There are an abundance of resources for military families from financial support and education to mental health and counseling.

“I am here for people to talk to, whether it’s through a phone call or email,” said Tijuana Odom, Director of Psychological Health, 927th Air Refueling Wing. “Times like these we need to stick together.”

These services are provided to help wing personnel, Airmen and their families recover from these hard times and build them up to be stronger and more resilient.

“In the midst of the chaos there’s always hope, and in the midst of darkness there is always light,” said Chaplain “Ski” 927th ARW Chaplain. “These are crazy times and our chaplain services are provided 24/7, call or text all which are confidential”
