24 MacDill Reservists receive CCAF degree

MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. --  Community College of the Air Force graduates assigned to the 927th Air Refueling Wing walked across the stage and received their diplomas during a ceremony held on Jan. 9, 2015, at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.

In attendance were graduates, their commanders, supervisors, co-workers and family members.

"This day is about the hard work and dedication each one of these graduates put into continuing their education," said Col. Randal Bright, 927 ARW, commander. "It is also important to mention all the support everyone in the audience provided and continues to offer to these graduates."

Guest speaker for the ceremony was Chief Master Sgt., (ret) Gary R. Broadbent, who congratulated the Airmen and gave some words of advice.

"Don't stop here," he encouraged. "Every opportunity you have to educate yourself, take it. Don't wait for the opportunity to influence your progression, if you're eligible to take a Professional Military Education course, take it as soon as you can so when opportunity comes your way you are ready for it."

The Community College of the Air Force is the largest, multi-campus community college in the world, with affiliated schools in 37 states and 9 foreign locations. Each year, CCAF students earn more than 1.6 million hours of college credits, and the college has awarded more than 335,000 degrees since 1977.
