Senior Master Sgt. Harold Potter, 927th Maintenance Squadron  superintendent,  was promoted to the rank of Chief Master Sgt. in front of family, friends and fellow Airmen during a promotion ceremony held during the September Unit Training Assembly here.

Presiding over the ceremony was Lt. Col. Kelly Bailey, 927th Maintenance Group commander.

"One common theme that Chief Potter represents is selflessness," said Bailey. "He has the selfless desire to raise the organization to the next level. The things I have witnessed you do for our Airman is outstanding and we are looking to continue that success," concluded Bailey.

With his wife and daughter in attendance, along with Chief Master Sgt. Cameron Kirksey, Air Force Reserve Command chief, Potter gave a few remarks about his newly earned position and the outlook for the future.

"I am honored and humbled to have this opportunity to be the chief of the maintenance squadron," said Potter. "I want the men and women of this squadron to know that I will work hard for them to make our squadron the best and my goal for everyone is to help them be successful."

The ceremony concluded with Potter reciting the Chiefs charge administered by Kirksey and all members singing the Air Force Song.
