Chief Master Sgt. Erin Willis 927th Maintenance Group superintendent,  was promoted to her current rank in front of family, friends and fellow Airmen during a promotion ceremony held during the August Unit Training Assembly here.

Presiding over the ceremony was Lt. Col. Kelly Bailey, 927th Maintenance Group commander.

"When I select leaders, I want people who embody the three C's," said Bailey. "The three C's are character, competence and chemistry all of which she has shown and performs above and beyond."

With many of her closest supporters in attendance, Willis explained she would not be where she is today without help.

"When you look at these men and women from 927th MXG, they are the backbone of the mission," said Willis. "They're the planners, schedulers, analysts, and professionals. I want to personally thank them for the job they do, without their hard work and dedication I would not be where I am today."

Willis expressed her thoughts for the future in her newly earned rank.

"I am humbled and proud to be in this new position, I look forward to embracing every challenge that lies ahead as I enter this stage," said Willis.

The ceremony concluded with Willis reciting the Chiefs Creed and all members singing the Air Force Song.
