Inaugural ceremony honors CCAF graduates

MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. --  In a ceremony that will be the bench mark from here on out, the latest 927th Air Refueling Wing Community College of the Air Force graduates walked across the stage here to receive their respective diplomas, May 3.

"Traditionally during commanders call we would briefly recognize our graduates," said Col. Randal Bright, 927 ARW, commander. "This is a milestone for our Airmen and deserving of significant recognition."

In order to receive their degrees, the graduates completed a total of 64 credit hours, which included a minimum of 15 credit hours from their respective civilian colleges.

The Community College of the Air Force is the largest, multi-campus community college in the world, with affiliated schools in 37 states and 9 foreign locations. Each year, CCAF students earn more than 1.6 million hours of college credits, and the college has awarded more than 335,000 degrees since 1977.
