MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Colonel (Dr.) Gregory L. Candell took command of the 927th Aerospace Medical Squadron during an assumption of command ceremony held on Sunday of the February Unit Training Assembly here.

As the 927th AMDS commander he is now responsible for the medical readiness for the entire 927th Air Refueling Wing. Additionally, the 927th AMDS provides public health, occupational medicine, mental health, preventive medicine, and fitness for duty services for the 927th ARW.

The 927th ARW alongside their mission partner, the 6th Air Mobility Wing provides a dedicated and prepared total force team to fly, fight and win in air, space and cyberspace.
