The 927th Air Refueling Wing welcomed two new commanders to the wing during the October Unit Training Assembly.

Lt. Col. Michael Stapleton assumed command of the 927th Operations Support Squadron October 4, 2014, from Lt. Col. Kevin Prom and Major Rico Cicero assumed command of the 927th Force Support Squadron the following day.

Prior to arriving at MacDill Air Force Base Stapleton served as a flight commander at the 18th Air Refueling Squadron, McConnell AFB, Kansas.

During the ceremony Col Larry Shaw, 927th Operations Group Commander explained he was confident that Stapleton, with his family and mission partners by his side, would take OSS and the total force to new heights.

Following the OSS change of command Col Dennis Seymour, 927th Mission Support Group Commander presided over the FSS assumption of command ceremony introducing Cicero.

"I'm excited about what is to come with Major Cicero," Seymour said. "I need my commanders to listen to their people, get them what they need to succeed and I'm impressed with the ease with which he has moved into his command position."

Cicero was the Operations Officer at the 44th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Holloman AFB, NM before his arrival to MacDill.
