Twenty five non commissioned officers from the Reserve, Guard and Active Duty completed a two -week long training course at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, June 20.

The NCO Leadership Development Course provided the airmen with the knowledge base needed to successfully perform their duties as supervisors through military and civilian educators.

Before each NCO received their diploma, Chief Master Sergeant Jim Candler, 927th Air Refueling Wing, addressed the group of staff and tech sergeants.

"I encourage all of you to take what you learned over the last two weeks back to your office and put it to good use. Take an airman under you wing and show them what they need to do to become the leaders you have become," Candler said.

"You now have the tools you need to succeed and I want to see you help others to succeed," he continued.

During the course, the students engaged in team building and leadership exercises under the direction of senior enlisted members from multiple Air Force bases. The students learned time management skills, the proper way to administer performance evaluations and interpersonal skills as a part of their personal and professional development.

"I was extremely pleased to see members of the 6th Air Mobility Wing and the National Guard attend this course and it is a great example the TFI culture we have here at MacDill," Col Brad Anderson, 927th ARW Vice Commander said. "This course is valuable to their growth as leaders and I encourage other staff and tech sergeants to attend this course in the future."
