Colonel Rodney E. Bryan relinquished command of the 927th Mission Support Group to Colonel Dennis L. Seymour during a change of command ceremony here June 1, 2013. Colonel Douglas J. Schwartz, commander of the 927th Air Refueling Wing, was the presiding official for the ceremony.

The ceremony was attended by mission partners from the active duty 6th Air Mobility Wing, friends and family, and the men and women of the 927th Air Refueling Wing.

Colonel Bryan assumed command of the 927th MSG in September of 2010. In his farewell remarks, he thanked the members of the 927th MSG for their dedication and hard work during his tenure as commander.

Colonel Seymour joins the 927th MSG from March Air Reserve Base, Calif., where he served as director of Manpower, Personnel and Services for the 4th Air Force. He stressed that his focus for the MSG is to continue moving forward and to focus on supporting the people and the mission of the 927th ARW.

"We're about giving Airman what they need, where they need it," he said of the 927th MSG, a reserve group of more than 200 members that provides support necessary to train and maintain the mission readiness of the 927th ARW.
