Even Uncle Sam Gets Grounded

Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. -- Much like civilian pilots, military pilots use up-to-date radar to see what the weather is doing where they plan on landing. If weather conditions are too severe to safely land, pilots have to decide between alternate landing sites that may keep them grounded for days. (Official U.S. Air Force photo by Staff. Sgt. Shawn C.
