927th Attends Teach-In
Tampa, Fla. -- Fifth graders recently experienced a taste of life as a boom operator. Master Sgt. Johnny Pullen, a boom operator with the 927th Air Refueling Wing, demonstrated the oxygen bag that keeps servicemembers alive in a tanker aircraft in case of low oxygen levels. He visited four classrooms at Crestwood Elementary School, where students learned about the value of science and math as Pullen described his aerial refueling missions, demonstrated life support systems of the aircraft he flies in, and answered questions about life in the military. The students and faculty of schools throughout the Tampa area recently invited servicemembers and other professionals to their schools to present their jobs to students.
