Operational Readiness Exercise
MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. -- Sometimes the highest-tech jobs are done with the simplest tools. No one knows this better than Senior Airman Kyle Steady, a crew chief with the 927th Air Refueling Wing. Steady uses a mirror to check the oil level of one of the engines on a KC-135 tanker aircraft. He participated in a recent operational readiness exercise that required the unit to deploy airplane tankers to refuel tactical aircraft on short notice. Steady had the responsibility of making sure the plane was flight-ready. (Official United States Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Shawn C. Rhodes)
