Operational Readiness Exercise

MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. -- Staff Sgt. Chris Sterling brings the gift of life, although he's not a doctor. This crew chief with the 927th Air Refeuling Wing has the responsibility of making sure the oxygen tanks on the KC-135 tanker aircraft are at the right pressure. If they are not, the pilots would not be able to breathe at 30,000 feet. Sterling participated recently in an operational readiness exercise recently that tested the unit's ability to deploy their tanker aircraft on short notice.
