Spotlight On An Airman
MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. -- Many maintenance mechanics will tell you the flightline is no place to be during the summer. With temperatures reaching 150 F, only the truly dedicated are here making sure aircraft are mission-ready. Recently, 927th Air Refeuling Wing member Tech. Sgt. John Stramiello, a native of Tampa, Fla. and electrical environmental specialist here was changing a boom marker light assembly in the heat of a Tampa summer aboard MacDill. "We're out here every day, whether it's training or real-world operations," he said of himself and his fellow maintenance airmen. "We're doing something important, something honorable and noble."
