NOAA releases dropsondes into Gulf of Mexico

Charles Lynch, an electronics engineer for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, releases a dropsonde from a hatch in a WP-3D Orion weather research aircraft into the Gulf of Mexico during an observation flight June 25, 2010.
