AES

While deployed the Aeromedical Evacuation crew, with help from the Critical Care Air Transport Team can turn a regular medical transport aircraft into a flying intensive care unit, making it possible to move severely injured or gravely ill service members by air. To stay proficient at their lifesaving skills, 45 AES technicians routinely climb aboard a MacDill based KC-135 to fine tune their caregiving skills. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Adam C.
