CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT MICHAEL A. KLAUSUTIS

Chief Master Sergeant Michael A. Klausutis is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 927th Air Refueling Wing, MacDill AFB, FL. He advises the Commander on all enlisted matters pertaining to health, morale and leadership for the effective utilization of enlisted forces in the execution of the wing's worldwide air mobility mission. The 927th Air Refueling Wing flies the KC-135R Stratotanker whose missions consist of in-flight air refueling, cargo and passenger airlift, aeromedical evacuation, and supporting contingencies and humanitarian operations around the world.

Chief Klausutis entered the Air Force in 1988 as an Aircraft Armament Systems Specialist. In 1992 Chief Klausutis transferred to the reserve as an AC-130A Spectre Aerial Gunner. Chief KIausutis subsequently retrained as an Airborne Mission Systems Specialist (AMSS) serving in both the MC-130E Combat Talon and MC-130P Combat Shadow. Chief Klausutis has served as Wing Airborne Communications Planner, aircrew instructor and evaluator, Operations Group Standardization and Evaluation, Superintendent, and Command Chief. Prior to his current assignment Chief Klausutis served as Command Chief Master Sergeant, Air Force Special Operations Air Warfare Center, Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Florida overseeing irregular warfare missions as well as mission qualification training for AC-130H/U/W, MC-130H/P, MQ-1/MQ-9, PC-12/U-28, C-145, C-146, and Combat Aviation Advisors.
